Things are always changing in the fitness industry. And sometimes it can be difficult to keep up with it all.

Especially when fitness is something you mainly think about when you notice the scale ticking up or when your pants get a bit tight or when the weather starts feeling warmer and you start thinking about bathing suits.

We’ve rounded up some of the most recent fitness stats. And the results aren’t surprising, and I wish they were. They are something that Individual Fitness is looking to change, however. Let me show you what I mean…

In 2020, the fitness industry raked in 37 billion in revenue, and that is only expected to increase this year.

Wow. That is a wicked huge number. And, once you take a look at the next stat it is even crazier considering that…

More than 90% of people quit going to the gym after just 3 months.

It’s true. In fact, you might have heard me before talk about how most gyms build their entire business model on people doing exactly this.

On average, 3 months is when you start to see real results from regular exercise.

This is incredibly ironic because of the statistic above. Right when people are most likely on the edge of really starting to see results, the average person will be giving up.

This is actually something that I got into the fitness biz to change. I hate the idea that you are supposed to count on people quitting, supposed to root for people to not hit their goals. That is the worst. All I want is for people to succeed! I want people to have fun working towards their goals, to see results, to get to that healthy and fit lifestyle that they want to live.

And the reason why you see so many people giving up, so many people abandoning their goals before they really see results is because they are not getting the help that they need to succeed.

It is as simple as that. It is because of the one size fits all approach that most gyms throw at people. This approach does not work. People go, try for a while, don’t see results, get discouraged and quit. It is heartbreaking to see.
