An Inside Look at the Fitness Industry


You know, the fitness industry isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. But we wouldn’t trade what we do for anything. This month, we thought we’d share the most challenging part of the fitness industry. And the reasons we do what we do.

The Challenging Stuff

Oh, where to begin? Probably with the reason why the fitness industry gets such a bad rap.

A lot of people think that fitness is a big money sink. There is an impression out in the zeitgeist that big fitness is out to take your money in return for nothing at all but a bag of wishes and dreams.

And here is the thing: a lot of times this is true!

Nowadays, fitness gurus and weight loss peddlers are the modern snake oil salesmen: selling you some dubious product or supplement or shake “guaranteed” to help you lose weight instantly with absolutely no work on your part.

It can sound so attractive!

But, the truth is, nothing is free, and that also means that anything worth doing is not going to be totally without effort.

So, unfortunately, these things are probably not going to help you.

What will help you is exercising, eating a healthy diet, and getting expert support and encouragement from a team who knows how to help people get real, lasting results. 

The Awesome Side

The best part of being the owner of a fitness studio is the people. I am passionate about helping people. Period. I love it when someone comes in and says “I need help” and we get to sit down and create goals around where they want to be and what they want to be able to do. Then we create a custom plan just for them, around their goals, their body, their health. And then we get to see them achieve those goals! We get to actively participate in helping wonderful people create real, lasting change that makes a huge difference in their help and in their lives.


This is the reward. This is why I love going to work every day.
