What are SMART Goals and how do you set them? And what do we mean “individualized to you?” SMART is an acronym that stands for:
Measurable and Manageable
Attainable, Actionable and Achievable.
Realistic and Repeatable
Something we like to ask clients is “What value are you placing on this goal? How is it going to improve your life? If it doesn’t add value or you’re not placing a high enough value on it, then it’s less likely you will achieve it. And you need to have a way to measure it. So that’s why getting specific is a must—both with the goal and how to measure it.
For example, do you just want to avoid gaining 10 pounds over the holidays? That’s probably not specific enough. Listen in and hear ways to zero on in your goals and find ways to attain them.
