A weekend trip to the farmers market is a great opportunity to stock up on locally grown, nourishing foods. These fresh fruits and vegetables are a great way to nourish your body as a special treat. It’s also a lot of fun and something that you can do with family and friends.
The Concord Farmers Market is one of the oldest in the state, beginning in the summer of 1981 in the parking lot of the New Hampshire Savings Bank, now the Attorney General’s office. The market moved to its current location on Capitol Street next to the State House in 1988.
Tina Larochelle, and former client’s Chuck and Diane Souther (now of Apple Hill Farm), and Lee Grimes were part of that market. Who would have guessed that the Southers and Tina would still be at the market thirty-one years later?
With about 40 vendors, we have a terrific selection of bakery products, meat, eggs, dairy, fruit, vegetables, fish, honey, and maple products. Many of the vendors are certified organic.
